Programs & initiatives
Programs that turn awareness into action
Our four core programs carry the mission from Northern Virginia classrooms to military schools across India. Each one is designed so a student team can run it and a community can feel it.
Neurodiversity and STEM workshops
Our signature workshop hands every kid a kaleidoscope kit and a question: what if everyone literally sees the world differently? Through building, experimenting, and talking it out, students learn what neurodiversity means and why some challenges stay hidden.
- More than 1,000 students reached directly across U.S. workshops
- Run by trained student volunteers at libraries, schools, and community centers
- Every activity doubles as a lesson in empathy and inclusion
K–12 teacher toolkits
Practical, specialist-approved toolkits that help teachers support students with invisible disabilities, no special education degree required.
- Lesson plans and classroom activities for every grade band
- Sensory accommodation strategies and communication guides
- Parent and student resource guides
- Always free to educators
First-time disability education across India
With the support of the Indian Military, we have donated books, teacher toolkits, and sensory tools to classrooms where disability education had never been taught before. For more than 550 students, our materials were the first time invisible disabilities were named out loud in school.
- More than 20 schools received books, toolkits, and sensory tools
- 15+ of them are military schools, reached through our Indian Military partnership
- More than 2,000 students, teachers, and caregivers trained in disability care
Surveys that change school policy
Awareness starts with evidence. Working with district-level research staff, we design student and teacher surveys that measure the real gaps in accommodation awareness, then bring the findings to school boards and county officials.
- Surveys co-designed with district research staff
- School board presentations and county assessments
- Findings drive teacher workshops and policy recommendations
Events & fundraisers
Where the community shows up
Comfort Bears for Every Brain
With Build-A-Bear Workshop, participants build a bear that represents them. Sponsored bears are donated to children in therapy centers, hospitals, and community programs.
